Southern pins North Hagerstown

HAGERSTOWN — Seven Southern wrestlers won by pin and three others won by decision at the Rams improved to 2-0 with a 51-21 victory at North Hagerstown Friday evening.

Pin winners were Matt Armstrong in the 112-division, Lex Ozias (119), George Scheffel (125), Lee Custer (130), Nick Farmer (189), Ryan Bennett (215) and Sean Sisler (285).

Jakob Scheffel won the 135 match by decisioning Delon Agee 10-9 in overtime. Nicholas Brant took the 140 match 6-5 over Joe Breehl and Kody Lewis (160) decisioned Devin Martinez 6-2.

North Hagerstown winners were Randy Wyne (pin, 103), Jake Turner (145, 5-1 decision), Jim Eichelberger (152, pin) and Dan Mazzei (171, pin).

Southern will compete in the South Moreland (Pa.) Holiday Tournament Thursday and Friday.
