ROMNEY, W.Va. — Carl Donald Hott, 72, of Romney went to be with the Lord, Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007 at the WMHS-Braddock Campus.

Born Dec. 11, 1934, Keyser, he was the son of the late Samuel Walker Hott and Anna Laura (Wilson) Hott. He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Jerald Scott Walker Jr.; four brothers, E. Delbert Hott, William E. Hott, Ray A. Hott and Allen S. Hott; five sisters, Faye Dorsey, Viola A. Ross, Louetta Cook, Edna Leasure and Waneta V. Hott. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Mr. Hott was a United States Army veteran of the Korean Conflict where he was a staff sergeant. He was a bus driver for the D.C. Transit and he drove truck for the steel mills in Pittsburgh, Pa., for a number of years.

Surviving are his wife Beverly Jean (Trump) Hott, they were married in Cumberland on May 16, 1977; one son, Carl Dale Hott and fiancée Allisia M. Smith, Romney; one daughter, Jamie Lynn (Trump) Walker, McKeesport, Pa.; a granddaughter, whom Carl and Beverly raised, Jessica Grace Walker, at home; granddaughter, Christina Marie Walker, Martinsburg; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, (scarpellifh.com) on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Wayne R. Turner officiating.

Interment will be in Maryland State Veterans Cemetery, Rocky Gap, Flintstone.

Military honors will be accorded by the Post 13 Veterans Honor Guard.
