KEYSER, W.Va. - Potomac State defeated CCAC Boyce 30-5, 30-12 and 30-14 Wednesday at Lough Gymnasium in the Catamounts' final regular-season game in a Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference volleyball match.

Erica Pratt was 18-for-18 serving with nine aces for the Cats, going 14-for-14 on attacks with seven kills and five digs. Randi Bennett had four aces and was 14-for-16 on attacks with 12 kills. Kate Ritz was 17-for-17 serving with three aces and two digs. Nikki Sidaway had 21 assists.

Potomac State (11-12 overall, 6-9 WPCC) will play Westmoreland Monday, 5 p.m., in the first round of the conference playoffs.

Hagerstown 3, Allegany 0

HAGERSTOWN - Shannon Kaminsky was a perfect 10-for-10 serving, but Allegany couldn't get going and were beaten in three games by Hagerstown, 30-18, 30-9 and 30-13, in Hagerstown Wednesday night.

Kaminsky had an ace to go with her serving and also had seven digs and three kills. Amanda Yoder finished with 12 assists, six digs and two kills; while Ashley Logsdon added 13 digs and Lakin Weimer had four kills.

The Trojans are now 1-7 in Maryland JUCO play and 4-11 overall. The play at home on Friday, 7 p.m., against Westmoreland Community College.

Garrett 3, Anne Arundel 0

McHENRY - The Garrett Lakers got just their fourth win of the year when they pulled a three-game sweep of Anne Arundel Wednesday evening in McHenry.

The host Lakers won the first and third games by a score of 30-17, with a 30-20 score crammed in between. Jayme Miller finished with 14 points and three aces, Mindy Sharp had 14 points and nine kills, and Julia Bosley had 12 digs and eight kills. Gabrielle Vera added 15 digs and three aces.

Garrett (4-14) plays on Wednesday, at home, against CCBC-Catonsville.

FSU 3, La Roche 0

PITTSBURGH - Frostburg State got back on the winning track Tuesday evening, with a 3-0 sweep of La Roche at the Kerr Fitness and Sports Center.

FSU improves to 9-15 overall and 4-0 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference. With the win, the Bobcats move into a three-way tie for first place in the league with Penn State Behrend and Penn State Altoona. With the loss, LAR is now 0-15 overall and 0-5.

Frostburg State won the three-game series by the scores of 30-14, 30-20 and 30-18.

Freshman Brooke Winterling led the team with 11 kills, two blocks and two aces and classmate Chelsea Wassell recorded six kills.

Senior Amanda Hernandez had a solid outing with 20 assists, five kills and three aces. Sophomore Jennifer Wheaton posted six digs and four aces while freshman setter Joanna Murray contributed with four assists.

The Bobcats play a trimatch with Penn State Behrend and Dickinson in Erie, Pa. on Saturday.
