Mailboxes may need help
The U.S. Postal Service designates the third week of May as Mailbox Improvement Week for customers to, where necessary, improve the appearance of their mailboxes.
This year’s Mailbox Improvement Week, May 16-22, calls attention to the need for providing mailboxes that are fully operational, designed to protect the mail from weather, safe to use, conveniently located and neat in appearance.
For more information about residential mailbox standards, contact a postmaster or visit https://www.usps.com/manage/mailboxes.htm.
