CUMBERLAND —The PharmaCare Network will hold an educational event, “CBD…What Is It? Is it Right for You?” on Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. at Allegany College of Maryland’s theater.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and there is no charge to attend.
CBD products will be offered in PharmaCare retail pharmacy locations by month’s end, according to PharmaCare President John H. Balch.
CBD products are sold over the counter at pharmacies across the country.
While people see the terms CBD and hemp in the news and magazines, on social media and television, many are not quite sure exactly what the terms mean.
Confusion and concern about any new product related to health often leads individuals to search for their own information.
PharmaCare is offering an open event to educate the public about these products.
The forum will explain what CBD products are, how they differ from medical cannabis and their effects on conditions that afflict the human body.
“We are committed to bringing the community the best health care opportunities available,” said Balch.
“The current trend in CBD offers an alternative therapy for patients. We believe this trend will benefit many patients seeking a way to provide self-care treatment for their maladies.”
