ROMNEY, W.Va. — A seven-run second inning and key defensive plays early helped carry Culver Design to a 12-9 Hot Stove League victory over Keyser VFW Monday night at Hampshire High School.

Ethan Taylor had two singles and a double and knocked in three runs for Culver, while Josh Crawford singled twice and knocked in three runs. Colton Moreland had two singles and an RBI.

For Keyser VFW, Randy Sites doubled and tripled to knock in three runs, while Aaron Tasker had two singles and two RBI. Devon Weaver singled twice and knocked in a run.

The Culver defense turned double plays in the first, second and third innings.

Culver Design (12-1) will play Wednesday at East Hardy.

American Ins. 10

Frostburg Legion 6

BEL AIR — Madison Wolford and Ryan Briner hit back-to-back homers in the fifth inning and  American Insurance rallied for a six-run fifth and a four-run sixth to come back from a 6-0 deficit to defeat Frostburg Legion Monday at Bel Air Field.

Wolford hit a three-run homer and Briner followed with a solo for American. Wolford also singled and Briner tripled and doubled. Travis Miller doubled for American while Ross Clark had two singles. Devin Storey had a pair of singles and Anielio DeStefano had two singles and two RBIs.

For Frostburg Legion, Braden Ishler singled and doubled.

American Insurance (6-6) will play Hartley’s Pizza today at Hamilton Field.

Cork’s Cars 15

Moran’s Lawn Care 5

OAKLAND — Cork’s Cars scored in every at-bat, including a six-run fourth to take Moran’s Lawn Care in five innings Monday at Broadford Park.

Danny Sislo went 4-for-4 for Cork’s with a double, three singles and three runs batted in. Cody Myers and Dylan Bennett both had two singles and knocked in three runs.

For Moran’s A. Fitzgerald had a single and two runs batted in.

Cork’s (10-2-1) will play Team One Auto Wednesday at Broadford Park.

Fort Ashby Lions 6

Keyser Moose 5

PINTO — The Fort Ashby Lions scored five in the first and one in the second after the Keyser Moose had scored three in the first and one in the second and made the six runs stand in defeating the Moose Monday at Hamilton Field.

Ryan Bobo had three singles for Fort Ashby, while Josh McNeil tripled. Tyler Conley had two doubles, and Brian Logsdon doubled once.

For Keyser, Josh Golup, Dylan Simone and Dakota Daugherty all had two singles.

Fort Ashby (9-4) will play Madigan’s Auto Sales today at Broadford Park.
