LYNCHBURG, Va. - Ashley Mattison scored five goals for Frostburg State but it wasn't enough as the women's lacrosse team lost to Lynchburg, 19-17, ending its four-game winning streak on Sunday.

FSU (4-5) trailed 16-15 with 6:28 left, but Lynchburg (7-7) scored three straight goals over the next four minutes to blow the game open at 19-15 with just 2:35 to play.

Brittany Brumby and Lindsey Lamont netted three goals for the Bobcats in the loss.

Nicole Locher led all scorers with six goals and three assists for Lynchburg.

Rachel Lewis played the entire game between the pipes for Frostburg State, suffering the loss but making 10 saves. Ji-Young Eun earned the win for the Hornets and stopped 16 shots.

Frostburg State held a slim lead in shots (46-43) but Lynchburg led in ground balls (26-24).

FSU will play at the College of Notre Dame on Wednesday afternoon.
