Garrett deputies arrest two
OAKLAND — Two Oakland residents were arrested by Garrett County sheriff’s deputies in separate incidents Sunday and Monday.
Charlene Reness Brun, 40, was charged with two counts of second-degree assault, resisting arrest, disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct and malicious destruction of property less than $500, according to the sheriff’s office.
Brun remained jailed Wednesday on $10,000 bond at the Garrett County Detention Center.
Police said at about 6:15 p.m. Sunday, Brun allegedly became disorderly and attempted to flee from deputies during investigation of a destruction of property complaint on North Fourth Street.
John Carl Quinn, 43, was charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon and carrying a handgun before being released on his personal recognizance by a district court commissioner.
Quinn was arrested at about 1:30 a.m. Monday after deputies investigated a suspicious person complaint on Gorman Road near Bethlehem Road.
