KEYSER, W.Va. — George Francis Wilson, 66, of Keyser, passed away Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, at the WMHS-Memorial Campus.

Born Sept. 25, 1942, in Cumberland, Md., he was the son of the late William Francis Wilson and Mary Elizabeth (Toler) Wilson.

A United States Marine Corps veteran, George was a retired tractor-trailer driver. He was a member of the Allegany Baptist Church in McCoole, Md.

George is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary J. Wilson; his daughters, Pamela J. Haacke, Aberdeen, Md., and Cynthia H. Wilson; his son, George E. Wilson, both of South Carolina; his brother, Lester J. Wilson and his wife Brenda, Frostburg, Md.; his sister, Virginia E. Mongold, Wiley Ford; his grandchildren, Christina M. Champ and her husband Ashley, Craig S. Haacke Jr., all of Edgewood, Md., and Alex Wilson of South Carolina; his great-grandchildren, Jeremy C. Champ and Jennifer L. Champ; as well as his extended family and friends.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Walter Lancaster officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
