CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Gov. Joe Manchin recently presented certificates of recognition to West Virginia companies in recognition of their accomplishments.

Honored firms from Mineral County were Green Engineering Office, Burlington, for using a Small Business Work Force grant for training in data-intensive studies to enhance business services and regulatory compliance; Liller Paving and Excavating LLC, Ridgeley, for work force expansion, creating 10 jobs since 2007; Candlewyck Inn Inc., Keyser, a family-owned lodging and dining business with 20 employees, for quality customer service and consistent work force employment.

Additionally, Manchin joined the West Virginia Export Council and the U.S. Department of Commerce in commending 42 Mountain State companies for exporting to new markets.

Among them were Howell Automotive, Mineral County; Allegheny Dimension and Allegheny Wood Products, Grant County; John Skip Ellis Equipment Sales, Preston County; and DeFluri’s Fine Chocolates and Vita Specialty Foods, Berkeley County.
