OAKLAND - N. Gladine Smith, 90, of Pysell Crosscut Road, Oakland, died Tuesday, April 24, 2007, at the Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home, Oakland.

Born on Jan. 29, 1917, in Cranesville, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late William H. and Alice H. (Riley) Hartman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray O. Smith in 1986; and by a son, Bobby W. Smith.

She was a 55-year member of the Mountaintop Christian Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Geraldine H. Boucher, Waupaca, Wis., and Bernadine D. Tasker, Oakland; one son, Denzil D. Smith, Oakland; one sister, Mary V. Charlton, Williamsport; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Stewart Funeral Home, 32 S. Second St., Oakland, from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday.

Services will be conducted at the Mountaintop Christian Assembly of God Church on Thursday, April 26, 2007, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Louis Boucher and the Rev. Gail Hixon officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services.

Interment will be in the Deer Park Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to Cindy's Fund, c/o First United Bank and Trust, 19 S. Second St., Oakland, MD 21550.
