CUMBERLAND — Maryland Treasures Souvenirs and Gifts is downtown Cumberland’s newest place to explore and shop.

Located at 43 Baltimore St. in Town Centre, the shop lives up to its name — everything in the store is about or made in Maryland.

“Our dream was to offer Maryland cottage industries and businesses a place to display and sell their products. What we found has been so exciting — there are so many products and so much talent right here in Maryland. And we are, of course, thrilled to be part of the downtown Cumberland renaissance,” said owner Debbie Mathew.

The new shop is filled with Maryland-made products — from Maryland coffees, McFarland’s chocolates and maple syrup to hand blown glass and handcrafted purses and jewelry. The shop also offers its own line of perfume, lotion and foaming hand soap called Treasures, created especially for Maryland Treasures. A special corner of the shop features children’s toys from Treehouse Toy Shop.

For those looking for a Cumberland souvenir, Maryland Treasures offers a range of items including T-shirts, shot glasses and tote bags. Gift baskets filled with Maryland made items and souvenirs are also available.

The shop is also catering to dog lovers as Maryland Treasures offers specially made treats for man’s best friend, including vegan treats. The shop boasts a doggie bar where shoppers may bring their pets in for a special complimentary treat.

Maryland Treasures Gifts and Souvenirs is open seven days a week, Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
