FORT ASHBY, W.Va. — Dr. David Lefler has been named the primary care provider of the Fort Ashby Medical Center, leaving Potomac Valley Hospital after 20 years of service.
Lefler has been practicing medicine for almost 40 years, more than half of that time as a physician in the PVH Emergency Department. “We are excited to have Dr. Lefler serving as the primary care provider for the clinic in Fort Ashby. Coming from a background in emergency medicine, Dr. Lefler will offer many years of experience and is well-suited for primary care services to the community,” said Mark Boucot, president and CEO of Potomac Valley Hospital.
Lefler earned his medical degree from St. Louis University in Missouri. He completed his family practice residency at Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Over the years, he has worked for various hospitals throughout West Virginia and has served as an assistant clinical professor in family practice for West Virginia University.
Fort Ashby Medical Center provides primary care services for all ages, including wellness visits, acute illness, school and sports physicals, Medicare wellness exams and chronic disease management.
