LAVALE — Smart Choice Computer Solutions was awarded the bid to purchase equipment for the Western Maryland Works project by the Allegany County commissioners.
The funding for the purchases is provided by an Appalachian Regional Commission grant.
Western Maryland Works: Allegany County’s Makerspace and Workforce Development Center is in the renovation/construction phase at 37 Lane Ave. as a partnership between Allegany County government and Allegany College of Maryland to create a pipeline of talent that can meet the needs of today’s employers and tomorrow’s jobs.
“Smart Choice has been a proud part of this community for over 25 years. We are excited about the Makerspace project and about the plan to continue to develop local talent. The project makes winning this bid even more of a proud moment for us,” Smart Choice President Wayne Snyder said.
Smart Choice Computer Solutions is located in LaVale and provides information technology support to local business, government and residential customers.
