MCHENRY — Daraius Irani, vice president of strategic partnerships and applied research at Towson University, will deliver an economic forecast at the next Business Before Hours of the Garrett County Chamber of Commerce on Jan. 21 at 8 a.m. in the Crawford Room at Wisp Resort.
Irani serves as chief economist for the Regional Economic Studies Institute at Towson, where he manages and serves as lead economist on more than 250 research and analysis projects. He has produced more than 100 economic and fiscal impact statements for a diverse portfolio of clients and has appeared on CNN, “The Marc Steiner Show,” WYPR’s “Midday” and Maryland Public Television’s “Business Connection.”
He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics at University of California, San Diego, and a Master of Arts in business economics and doctorate in economics from University of California, Santa Barbara.
