CUMBERLAND — Allegany College of Maryland will make student aid available for part- and full-time students for the fall semester through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund III.
Students who complete the 2021-2022 FAFSA form and are eligible for a federal Pell grant will automatically receive the HEERF funding. Those who have experienced a personal or family hardship because of the COVID-19 pandemic may request additional funding. An application is available at allegany.edu/heerfaward.
Students with questions are asked to contact the Financial Aid Office at 301-784-5213 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
HEERF III provides $39.6 billion in support to institutions of higher education to serve students and ensure that learning continues during the COVID-19 pandemic. Institutions must use at least 50% of their allocations to provide emergency financial aid grants to students. The college will use some additional HEERF funds to promote instructional delivery and health and safety measures.
