MCHENRY — Burglaries of 12 homes around Deep Creek Lake since January remain under investigation by the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office and Maryland State Police.
More than $10,000 worth of goods have been stolen and property damage exceeds $13,000 in burglaries of secondary and rental homes, police said.
The burglaries have been reported in the areas of Marsh Hill Road, Turkey Neck, Lake Shore Drive, Deep Creek Drive and Sandy Shores.
“Burglars are typically stealing flat-screen televisions and other related electronic entertainment equipment,” said a police spokesman.
A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered through the Garrett County Crime Solvers by Railey Mountain Lake Vacations.
