CUMBERLAND — A city man was jailed without bond Wednesday after he allegedly spit on a Cumberland Police officer and threatened to burn down the house of a second arresting officer.
Anthony Scott Armstrong, 55, was arrested in connection with a disturbance on Altamont Terrace where he allegedly kicked a vehicle.
After being taken into custody, Armstrong allegedly assaulted two city police officers during arrest processing before he was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center.
He was charged with indecent exposure, assault, disorderly conduct, threat of arson, resisting arrest and malicious destruction of property.
Armstrong was scheduled to be given a bail review hearing Thursday.
