CUMBERLAND — A city man was arrested Tuesday on a warrant stemming from an alleged burglary and assault that occurred last month on Quebec Avenue, Cumberland Police said.
Marvin David Perry, 41, was charged with third- and fourth-degree burglary, second-degree assault, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and destruction of property.
Perry was granted pre-trial release after posting $5,000 bond set by a district court commissioner, pending trial in district court.
Police said investigation of the June 28 complaint determined that Perry allegedly assaulted a resident in the 700 block of Quebec Avenue after kicking open the front door.
The victim was reportedly choked and punched and required medical treatment at the scene by ambulance personnel of the Cumberland Fire Department.
