Cumberland man arrested on three bench warrants

Angelo Bernard Carlton Jr.

CUMBERLAND — A city man was jailed Thursday on warrants issued by the district and circuits courts of Allegany County, Cumberland Police said.

Angelo Bernard Carlton Jr., 31, remained in custody Friday at the Allegany County Detention Center, pending appearance before a circuit court judge.

Carlton was arrested on warrants stemming from charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance (not marijuana), disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct, failure to obey a lawful order and trespassing.

Police said Carlton failed to appear for trials on Sept. 5 and Sept. 24.
