CUMBERLAND — A city woman was arrested after she reportedly locked the door on Cumberland Police during investigation of a breaking and entering Sunday in a Greene Street apartment building.
Caitlin Diane Dolly, 24, was charged with third- and fourth-degree burglary, second-degree assault, obstructing and hindering police and disorderly conduct.
Following a bond hearing Dolly was released on her personal recognizance, pending trial in district court.
Police said the arrest was made after officers made contact with Dolly at her residence before she shut and locked the entrance door of her apartment. Police made entry and arrested Dolly without further incident.
The victim was not injured during the incident that occurred after she confronted a group of people inside the building about loud noise. Dolly then allegedly chased the victim and threatened her when she took shelter in her own residence, police said.
