CUMBERLAND — The Allegany County Fair and Ag Expo was a “mix of learning and fun,” said Bill McKenzie, president of the event.

Despite scorching temperatures on Saturday — the last public day of the event — a large crowd was at the 4-H Livestock Sale.

According to Lacie Ashby, 4-H educator and senior agent for the University of Maryland Extension in Allegany County, 101 lots were sold with gross sales of roughly $90,000.

Here is a slideshow that includes photos of the sale and overall 2019 fair.
