Police, animal control respond to East Side dog bite incident

CUMBERLAND — One person was taken to UPMC Western Maryland after suffering a dog bite late Wednesday afternoon, according to the Cumberland Police Department.

Police said two people in the residence were injured in the incident that reportedly involved two family dogs.

The injuries of the person taken to the hospital by the Cumberland Fire Department ambulance were said not to be life threatening in nature.

Allegany County Animal Control also responded to the incident.

No other information was available.
