FROSTBURG — The Frostburg mayor and council will ask citizens to comment on a variety of issues at today’s meeting, including the creation of a public dog recreation area at Calhoun Park.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Frostburg Community Center, 27 S. Water St.

The public will also have opportunities to comment about:

• The adoption of a budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

• Regulations meant to control impacts of stormwater runoff.

• Regulations controlling open burning and recreational fires.

• The adoption of building performance standards.

• The ongoing combined sewer overflow projects.

City Administrator John Kirby will present resolutions that would:

• Approve an agreement with the Savage River Watershed Association for a stream restoration project on city land.

• Approve the proposed dog park.

• Amend post employment benefits.

• Exempt some residents from paying the Bay Restoration Fee.

Also on the agenda are:

• Award of a paving contract.

• Appointments to land use boards and commissions.
