Man charged after allegedly interfering with warrant service

MOUNT SAVAGE — At least one person was injured in a single-vehicle crash that occurred just after 11 p.m. Thursday in the 15000 block of Mount Savage Road, according to emergency service officials.

"First arriving fire department units reported a single vehicle rollover crash," Lt. Todd Bowman, public information officer for the Allegany County Department of Emergency Services, said. "Additional units were requested because utilities were down in the roadway, making them impassable for emergency vehicles."

Units from Mount Savage and Wellersburg fire departments, Corriganville ambulance and Allegany County Department of Emergency Services EMS Division responded to the 11:06 p.m. incident.

The injured female — a passenger in the vehicle — was transported to Western Maryland Regional Medical Center in Cumberland. Her condition was not immediately available.

The roadway remained closed for approximately two hours as crews worked to clear the roadway and remove the vehicle, Bowman added.

Allegany County Sheriff's Office and State Highway Administration also responded.
