CUMBERLAND — A traffic stop Tuesday night led to Cumberland Police arresting a city man and charging two Ridgeley women.
Jerald M. Boyd, 23, was charged with obstructing and hindering, resisting arrest, fleeing and eluding, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was jailed at the Allegany County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing Wednesday by a district court commissioner.
Police said a drug-detection dog alerted to the presence of drugs in the vehicle.
Police cited Kathleen J. Williams, 49, and Jacqueline M. Carder, 57, both of Ridgeley, for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police said Boyd was arrested after he ran from police and was quickly apprehended.
Drug paraphernalia and a large sum of currency were seized during the traffic stop at the Greene Street exit for westbound Interstate 68, according to police.
