TERRA ALTA, W.Va. — A Morgantown man suspected of shooting a Terra Alta resident to death early Sunday at a Preston County tavern was in police custody Monday afternoon, the Preston County Sheriff's Office said.
Aaron Glenn Hoard, 33, had been sought since the shooting at Shorthorns Saloon in Terra Alta that killed Grant Felton, 38.
Further information, including charges that Hoard faces, was not available Monday.
TERRA ALTA, W.Va. — A Morgantown man was being sought by police throughout the region Monday following the fatal shooting of a Terra Alta man Sunday at a Preston County tavern.
Aaron Glenn Hoard, 33, is wanted in the shooting death of 38-year-old Grant Felton.
The incident reportedly occurred at Shorthorn’s Saloon in Terra Alta, according to the Preston County Sheriff’s Office.
Police said Hoard drives a black 2018 Dodge Ram pickup and may be in the company of Machaela J. Jeffries and the couple’s 1-year-old child.
Hoard should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.
