CUMBERLAND — Auditions for “Camelot” will be held Aug. 3 and 4 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Embassy Theatre, 49 Baltimore St.
Rehearsals for the musical by Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe begin Aug. 11, and show dates are Sept. 20-22 and 27-29.
The show is being directed by Tom Valentine, with music and choreography by Desiree Witt.
Those auditioning are asked to bring downloaded music on a phone or another device as no piano or accompaniment will be available.
A large turnout is expected, and reservation slots can be reserved by emailing Valentine at email@example.com or messaging him on Facebook.
Appointments will be scheduled in 10-minute intervals.
The show is the new small cast version, with the roles of Pellinore, Merlyn and Morgan le Fay eliminated.
The role of King Arthur and other lead parts have been cast. Especially needed is a chorus of enthusiastic knights and energetic ladies.
