MEYERSDALE, Pa. — Meyersdale Community Players will present its 20th annual murder mystery dinner theater Feb. 21-22 at 6:30 p.m. and Feb. 23 at 1 p.m. at the Meyersdale Volunteer Fire Company.
This year’s presentation is “Last Call at Chez Mort” by Lee Mueller. The theater group offered this synosis: “Return to the 1940s and the famous nightclub Chez Mort. On this particular night, the club was the scene of a strange accident. Or was it? Inspector Constantine must investigate and decide on the murderer. Was it the gangster, show girl, French club manager, the stage hand or Russian bodyguard with a hatchet?”
Cast members are Mae Smith, portraying Jeanette Truffaut, host and nightclub manager; Aaron Thomas, “Big Suit” Stu, gangster; Andrew Thomas, Stu’s bodyguard; Labrina Ritchey, Sweet Sue, ditsy girlfriend of Stu; Amy McKenzie, Lady Lelu, glamorous nightclub singer; Mike Brant, Mack, streetwise stage manager; Ian Edwards, Chief Inspector Constantine; Michael Swick, Smitty, news reporter; and Britta Mitchell, nightclub piano player. Directors are Mardianne Vincent and Angie Brant.
A two-meat buffet dinner will be prepared by the Meyersdale firemen for all three shows.
