“The Polar Express” with Eddie Deezen will be presented at the Embassy Theatre, 49 Baltimore St., on Dec. 9 at 5:30 p.m.

The event will feature the movie, face-painting by World’s Ms. Maryland Tourism 2017 Cheyenne Weisenmiller, autographed photos and meet-and-greet with Deezen, who provided the voice of one of the children in the film. Fresh-popped popcorn and hot chocolate with mini-marshmallows will be provided.

“Eddie was one of the stars of ‘The Polar Express’ and he considers co-star Tom Hanks one of the nicest people he has ever worked with,” said public relations director Trish Morgan. Deezen was the voice of the Know-It-All Kid.

“Dina Wilson and Timbrook Kia will be teaming up with Embassy Theatre to present this family-friendly event — truly an evening to remember,” added Morgan.

Weisenmiller will be on hand from 5:30 to 7 p.m. to do face painting prior to the show.

For everyone who attends, there will be a chance to win the evening’s door prize — a Deezen “Polar Express” basket.

All events and activities are supported in part by the Maryland State Arts Council, the Allegany Arts Council and the city of Cumberland.
