CUMBERLAND — A suspected cocaine dealer was arrested Tuesday when police raided a Fayette Street home, the Allegany County Narcotics Task Force said.

Douglas Lee Resh, 54, of Cumberland was being held without bond Wednesday at the Allegany County Detention Center, charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (not marijuana), possession with intent to distribute narcotics and two counts of possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime.

Police said numerous firearms, cocaine packaged for resale with a street value of $14,000, CDS packaging materials and a large amount of currency were seized.

The police operation was the culmination of a monthlong investigation and included task force members, Maryland State Police and Cumberland Police Department’s emergency response team.
