I find it rather amazing that Bill Arthur would use the song of well-known homosexual Elton John and, worse, a married homosexual with an English wedding behind him and a civil union before that in Windsor, Canada.

Even calling the lyrics from an Elton John song “seemingly prophetic.” Then Mr. Arthur goes on with the rants of those who condemn everything under the sun except legalized torture, murder by government officials, and aggressive wars and on and on.

Using John as an example of is really far out in the ozone layer because John is really dead set against what he says is Christian hate directed toward homosexuals and others.

I really am not interested in such things as they only appear to come out of the woodwork around election time and nobody really wants to talk about real issues unless they are hurting about high gas prices and other things that really kick people in the butt. However, Arthur sent me to the Internet as I knew John was gay and I faintly thought there was a contract or something somewhere.

Using a gay person to lead off an attack on all kinds of supposed sins seems to be akin to going to a Hitler speech about how Jews are being denied their rights or to a Rev. Al Sharpton speech about how a former governor of New York state, state troopers and every male in New York abused Tawana Brawley.

Perhaps using a good example to start a generalized statement would be in order. Perhaps a good sermon for any gospel spellbinder would be How George Bush never told a lie. See it really is easy. The old apples and oranges approach seems a little out of touch.
