KEYSER, W.Va. - Ruth R. Agnew, 78, of Rt. 1, Box 147-B, Keyser, died Monday, June 12, 2006, at her residence.

Born on April 5, 1928, at Mount Storm, she was a daughter of the late Scott and Lacey (Moreland) Rotruck. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah D. Agnew on Nov. 3, 2003; and by two sisters, Twila Smith and Mabel Lucas.

Mrs. Agnew was a loving mother and homemaker and along with her husband, formerly owned and operated the Western Auto Store in Keyser. She was a member of the Antioch United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband of nearly 62 years, William H. Agnew; two sons, Dennis W. Agnew and wife Dottie of Burlington, and Daniel S. Agnew of Las Vegas, Nev.; one sister, Mary Bacorn of Keyser; six grandsons, Dean Allen Agnew, Darren Agnew and wife Tammy, Derrick Scott Agnew, Christopher Agnew, Jeffrey Agnew and Nicholas Agnew; and one great-granddaughter, Alexis N. Agnew.

At Mrs. Agnew's request there will be no public visitation.

Graveside services will be conducted at the Thrush Cemetery, Antioch, on Thursday, June 15 at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Andrew Agnew Sr. and the Rev. Daniel Agnew officiating.

Interment will follow.

The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Potomac Valley Home Hospice, South Mineral Street, Keyser, WV 26726.
