CRESAPTOWN — Elizabeth Jenkins took over setting duties for the undefeated Calvary Eagles in Tuesday night’s Mason-Dixon Christian Conference match up against Broadfording.

Calvary swept the Lions in straight sets 25-4, 25-12, 25-11.

“This team is so deep that we can call on a number of girls to fill in anywhere on the court,” said Calvary Christian head coach John Wall. “Tuesday night I called on Elizabeth to set against Broadfording and she did a wonderful job leading us to sweep over the Lions.”

For Calvary, Jenkins led with 15 assists and added eight service points with five aces.

Middle hitter Nicola Ganoe led the Eagles with 10 kills. She also had five points and six digs. Madi Dayton had nine kills, 11 points with four aces and seven digs.

Cassandra Cessna had a team-high 16 service points with three aces and three digs. Kaitlyn Wilson finished with three kills, two service points and two aces.

The Eagles’ junior varsity also remains unbeaten after beating the Lions 25-8 and 25-18  

Calvary (7-0) hosts Grace Academy Friday at 4:30 p.m.

WINCHESTER, Va. — Led by Hana Hendrickson’s 10 service points and two assists, Paw Paw outlasted Mountain View Christian Academy in three CLOSE games to sweep the match.

Game scores were 25-19, 25-23 and 26-24.

Addison Ross and Maristy Crosco each had eight service points. Ross had three aces and three kills while Crosco had an ace and an assist. Halle Galliher added six points, Alexis Barker four and Janae Hott three.

The Pirates host Pendleton tonight.
