FROSTBURG — Brooke EauClaire had a triple double and two others had double doubles to lead Mountain Ridge over Allegany 3-1 in their Maryland Class 1A West Region I semifinal Monday evening at Mountain Ridge.

The Miners (12-4) will host Fort Hill (9-7), a 3-0 winner over Northern, in tonight’s 1A West Region I final starting at 7 p.m.

Against the Campers, the two teams split the first two games with the Miners taking the first 25-23 before Allegany took the second game 29-27. Mountain Ridge dominated the third game 25-12 and won the fourth 25-19.

EauClaire scored 11 points, had 12 kills and made 16 digs. Madison Werner led the team with 17 points and had 19 assists to go with six digs. Maddie Paris had a game-high 20 assists, 18 digs, five points, two kills and four blocks. Kailee Wilson scored six points, had 16 kills, six digs and eight blocks.

Allegany was led by Kennedy Koelker’s nine points, eight kills and eight digs with one ace. Katie Beckman had six points, three assists and a game-high 25 digs. Samara Funk scored eight points, had an ace and made a game-high 23 kills with 15 digs.

PAW PAW, W.Va. — Paw Paw swept Tucker County in three games in a playoff game Monday evening.

The Pirates advanced to play Moorefield last night in a section playoff game.

Game scores were 25-13, 25-16 and 25-18.

Against the Mountain Lions, Addison Ross and Janae Hott each had 13 service points. Ross had three aces and six kills while Hott had an ace.

Alexis Baker added nine service points with five aces and six kills while Hana Hendrickson scored six points with three aces and seven assists.
