GRANTSVILLE — Camden Friend tossed a two-hit shutout and Ethan Sebold knocked in three runs, powering unbeaten Grantsville SAL to a 7-0 victory over Riverside Sports in Hot Stove League baseball Wednesday night at Grantsville Park.

Friend allowed only two singles and struck out 10. Grantsville led 2-0 after three innings, then pulled away with a four-run fifth inning.

Sebold smacked a double and a single, Tyler Yoder stroked three singles and Logan Miller added a pair of singles for the winners.

Grantsville SAL (8-0) will play the Cumberland Rotary on Monday, at 6 p.m., at Holler Field. Riverside takes on Cumberland Optimist tonight at Memorial Field.

POTOMAC PARK — Winning pitcher Nathan Farrell belted a double and a single and knocked in three runs, leading Cumberland Optimist over Knippenberg Insurance/Cumberland Outdoor Power.

Gavin King smacked a double and a single and Josef Sneathen added a pair of singles for the Optimist, which trailed 4-3 before erupting for six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Jared Kelly had two singles and two RBIs for Knippenberg Insurance/Outdoor Power.

Farrell allowed three runs over six innings for the win.

Cumberland Optimist will play Riverside Sports tonight at Memorial Field. Knippenberg/Outdoor Power, which played KMK Insurance last night, will take on Coldwell Banker on Monday at Hamilton Field.
