POTOMAC PARK — Trevon Jones recorded nine strikeouts and allowed three singles Thursday evening as Lakeview remained unbeaten with a 13-3 win over the Hyndman Hobo’s at Holler Field.
It is the 12th win for Lakeview, which also has one tie, with its next game scheduled for Monday at Northern High School.
Logan Yommer delivered four RBIs on three singles while Justin Derato and Brett Oates had two singles and two RBIs. Hunter Hill had two RBIs with one single and Brian Galluchi hit a pair of singles.
Jones matched his effort on the mound by adding a double and a single at the plate.
Hyndman plays at home on Tuesday against G&S Coal.
Greg’s Auto 5, Fort Ashby Lions 4
FLINTSTONE — Garrett Kniseley scored on an error in the bottom of the seventh to lift Greg’s Auto to its 11th victory by beating the Fort Ashby Lions Thursday in Flintstone.
Robbie McCusker had half of his team’s six hits and drove in two of its runs with a triple and two singles.
Fort Ashby got a triple, double, two runs and two RBIs while Jake Doepker had the team’s other two hits with a double and a single.
Both teams are now 11-2. Greg’s will play on Tuesday in Flintstone against Riverside Sports. Fort Ashby plays Rotary at Holler on Monday.
Ridgeley VFW 4, Cumberland Lions 1
LAVALE — Kirk Robinette drove in two runs in the fourth inning breaking a 1-1 tie that propelled the Ridgeley VFW over the Cumberland Lions Thursday evening at Femi Field.
Ridgeley outhit the Lions 7-5. Gage Shaffer and Trent Hamilton each had two base hits and Robinette, Grant Clayton and Noah Bible all belted doubles.
The Lions’ Tyler O’Baker had three singles, Robert Arnold tripled and Mike Wright doubled.
Both Robinette and the Lions’ Cameron Fowler went the distance on the mount and each struck out seven.
Ridgeley (7-6) plays Cumberland Outdoor Power tonight at Allegany College of Maryland while the Cumberland Lions (4-8-1) will play Young’s Unlimited Wednesday at Bel Air Field.
Cork’s Cars 8, D&D Homes 4
POTOMAC PARK — Mike Welch had nine strikeouts over the first five innings and Cork’s Cars held off a late charge by D&D Homes/Moran Lawn Care to collect a win Wednesday at the Hot Stove Complex.
Logan Cvetnick had two singles to drive in three runs and Austin Graham had a double and a single. Lucas Ritchie had a single and two runs scored and Keith Chapman added a RBI single.
D&D was led at the plate by Chandler Sagal’s double.
Cork’s scored four times in the first inning and took an 8-0 lead into the bottom of the sixth. D&D scored four runs in the final two innings, but would get no closer.
Cork’s (9-6) plays again tonight against Thomas Chevrolet at the Complex. D&D also plays tonight at the Salisbury Legion.
