POTOMAC PARK — Bryce Schadt collected four hits and Xavier Ashley tossed a one-hitter for the win as Cumberland Rotary rolled past Twigg’s Plumbing, 14-3, in Hot Stove League baseball Friday evening at Holler Field.

Schadt belted two doubles and two singles to lead a 14-hit attack. The Rotary (4-3) scored in every inning in the five-inning game, and led 11-1 after three.

Ashley went the distance, allowing only a single while striking out six for the victory. He aided his cause by stroking three singles. Blake White had two singles and Logan Mullery added a double.

Buddy Robinette had a third-inning single for Twigg’s.

The Rotary plays Grantsville SAL on Monday, at 6 p.m., at Holler Field.

Twigg’s Plumbing plays Weimer Auto in Monday’s night game at Memorial Field.

POTOMAC PARK — Gavin King, Nathan Farrell and Eston Bender combined for eight hits and nine RBIs, powering Cumberland Optimist past Riverside Sports Friday at Hamilton Field.

King belted a triple and two singles, Farrell hit a double and two singles and Bender tripled and singled to lead a 13-hit attack. All three drove in three runs.

Aiden Litten added two singles and an RBI for the Optimist, which erased an early 2-0 deficit with a nine-run bottom of the first.

Xander Parsons had a double, single and two RBIs while Malayke Webb had a single and two RBIs for Riverside.

King pitched the first four innings for the win.
