HYNDMAN, Pa. — Zach Logsdon scored off a free kick with just over four minutes to play in the second overtime to lift Hyndman to a 4-3 Homecoming victory over North Star in high school boys soccer Saturday afternoon.

Logsdon and Zach Clites had two goals and Nate Bingman had two assists for the Hornets (5-3).

Clites scored on a Logsdon assist five minutes into the game for Hyndman. Connor Thompson tied it for North Star, and Jesse Minnick put Hyndman on top again, 2-1, on an assist from Bingman with 10:50 left in the half. Jared Zimmerman knotted it 2-2 with an unassisted goal with just over five minutes left in the half.

Thompson gave North Star a 3-2 lead by converting a penalty kick. Clites tied it with 11:07 to go, scoring on a feed from Bingman.

After a scoreless first overtime, Logsdon nailed the game winner with 4:03 left in the final overtime.

Hyndman led in shots 17-14 and both teams had three corner kicks. Tyler Jamison made nine saves in goal for the Hornets, who host Northern Bedford County on Monday.

INWOOD, W.Va. — Musselman handed Allegany its fifth-straight loss 7-0 Saturday at Musselman High School.

The Applemen also won the junior varisty game, 2-1. Maria Hite scored the Campers’ goal.

Additonal details about the varsity game were unavailable.

Allegany (1-6) visits Bishop Walsh Tuesday beginning at 4:30 p.m.
