KEYSER, W.Va. — A rental vehicle reported as stolen to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday was recovered Wednesday on Baltimore Street, according to Keyser Police Chief Karen Shoemaker.

The vehicle was located while it was parked on Baltimore Street late Tuesday morning, a short time after Keyser Police were notified by Washington County authorities that the vehicle could possibly be in the Keyser area.

The vehicle, registered to Enterprise Rent-A-Car Co. in Hagerstown, was im-pounded and awaiting processing for evidence by evidence collection specialists.

Police said no driver was present when the vehicle was located. However, police have identified a man who had reportedly rented the vehicle.

Keyser Police were awaiting further information from Washington County whether or not charges would be filed in the case.
