MUNICH, GERMANY - Thomas H. Connor, 72, died April 15, 2007 in Munich, Germany.

Mr. Connor was born Jan. 26, 1935 in Cumberland, to the late George Conrad Connor and Sarah Sidaway Connor.

Mr. Thomas H. Connor graduated from LaSalle High School in Cumberland in 1952. He had a B.A. in Psychology from The George Washington University, Washington D.C. in 1959 and a M.A. in Personnel Psychology from San Francisco State College in San Francisco, Calif., and graduated from TESOL, St. George's International in London, U.K in 2006.

Mr. Connor retired from the U.S. Government in 1995 as a Manager/Administrative Officer. During his 25 year career with the U.S. Government, he was Coordinator for 10 regional offices and Deputy Director, Management Operations for the Department of Energy, Chief Administrative Support Branch for Voice of America and Deputy Chief of Domestic Support for the U.S. Information Agency. He began the first 10 years of his career as a Research Analyst for Stanford Research Institute. After extensive travel in Europe, Australia and New Zealand, Mr. Connor resided in Garmisch Partenkirchen, Germany teaching English as a second language at the Volkeshochschule. Mr. Connor was an avid patron of the theater and arts with an extensive knowledge music and theater. Mr. Connor was well known for his sense of humor, his kindness and generosity and his joy of life. He will be missed by his family and friends.

He was survived by his sister, Dolores Connor Brown, and husband, Timothy Charles Brown, of Columbia, S.C.; nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Charles Brown, and their children, Connor, Dalton and Caroline, of Lexington, S.C.; two nieces, Sara Ann Brown, of Charleston, S.C. and Teresa Lynn Brown, of Columbia, S.C.
